Swedish–Ukrainian Cooperation Project SEU-IEP Officially Launched

The project preparation phase of Strengthening Ukrainian Innovation Ecosystems through Swedish–Ukrainian Strategic Cooperation (SEU-IEP) has officially begun. The initiative is funded by the Swedish Institute (SI) under the Ukraine Cooperation Programme 2026.

The project brings together MG Sustainable Engineering (MGS) and the Ukrainian Startup Association (UAS) in a strategic partnership based on equal collaboration, mutual learning, and co-creation.

The SEU-IEP project is focused on strengthening Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem and supporting the development of resilient frameworks for long-term recovery and growth. Its key objectives are to analyse the challenges facing Ukrainian innovation ecosystems, align key stakeholders across borders, and develop a shared strategic direction drawing on Swedish expertise in collaborative innovation systems.

The partnership combines complementary expertise from both organisations. MG Sustainable Engineering contributes experience in sustainable systems engineering, innovation strategy, and international cooperation, while the Ukrainian Startup Association provides direct access to Ukraine’s network of startups, incubators, universities, and regional innovation hubs.

During the project, SEU-IEP will work on formalising governance structures and designing sustainable, long-term cooperation mechanisms adapted to Ukraine’s recovery context.

The initiative aims to establish a foundation for a stronger and more connected Ukrainian innovation landscape through continued Swedish–Ukrainian strategic cooperation.
