EU Visibility Statements
Updated: April 26, 2026
The PUBLIC UNION “UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF STARTUPS” participates in national and international initiatives, some of which may be implemented with financial support or co-financing from the European Union.
This page explains how we acknowledge such support on the website, in publications, news, materials, project-related pages, events, and other communication formats.
1. General Principle
If a specific project, event, publication, result, material, or other activity on our website is funded or co-funded by the European Union, we aim to acknowledge such support appropriately in the relevant context.
2. Where Such Statements Apply
Statements acknowledging support from the European Union may be used on:
- project pages;
- news and publications;
- event pages;
- educational and methodological materials;
- digital resources;
- presentations, brochures, and visual materials;
- project results created within funded initiatives.
3. Core Wording We Use
Depending on the type of funding, the following wording may be used:
If an initiative is fully funded by the European Union:
Funded by the European Union
If an initiative is implemented with partial support from the European Union:
Co-funded by the European Union
4. Standard Disclaimer for Project-Related Materials
For materials related to specific EU-funded or co-funded initiatives, we may use the following disclaimer:
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union. The European Union cannot be held responsible for them.
If a specific grant agreement or programme requires more precise wording, we may use an extended version of the disclaimer indicating the relevant executive agency or programme.
5. Use of the EU Emblem
Where required by the rules of the relevant programme or grant agreement, the official emblem of the European Union may be used together with the funding statement.
In such cases, we follow these principles:
- the EU emblem must be used correctly and without modification;
- the funding statement must be placed next to the emblem;
- where other logos are displayed, the EU emblem should be at least as prominent as the largest of them;
- the European Commission logo should not be used instead of the official EU emblem.
6. Important Clarification Regarding the Entire Website
Not all content on this website is necessarily created within projects funded by the European Union.
Therefore:
- EU visibility statements apply only where such support actually exists;
- the absence of an EU visibility statement on a page may mean that the material was created outside the scope of such funding or does not require such marking;
- special wording may apply to certain materials where required by the conditions of a specific programme or grant.
7. Accuracy and Good-Faith Communication
We aim to use only accurate, verified, and consistent information regarding support from the European Union.
8. Programme-Specific Requirements
Certain EU programmes, grant agreements, or executive agencies may impose additional requirements regarding:
- disclaimer wording;
- use of logos;
- mention of the programme;
- visibility on web pages, social media, presentations, and printed materials;
- mandatory use of the funding statement in the local language.
In such cases, we apply the rules of the specific programme where they are more specific than the general visibility rules.
9. Short Wording for Use on the Website
Below are short forms that may be used on pages or in materials.
Option 1 — for full funding:
Funded by the European Union.
Option 2 — for co-funding:
Co-funded by the European Union.
Option 3 — short disclaimer:
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union. The European Union cannot be held responsible for them.
Option 4 — for a news item, page, or publication:
This material was prepared within an initiative implemented with the support / co-funding of the European Union.
10. Updates to This Page
We may update this page in the event of:
- new EU-funded initiatives;
- changes in the requirements of specific programmes;
- updates to EU visual identity rules;
- a need to clarify wording for certain types of materials.
